Dinner parties shouldn’t be stressful.
People who often host events in their own homes are stretched to their limits creating the perfect gathering that will impress their friends and family. Many don’t have the eye for curating decor and designs for these events that are both practical and beautiful, meeting a variety of needs.
And, frankly, who has the time to perfect the details when you’re busy buying food, cleaning the house, and taking care of your family?
Candice Munson realized this dilemma after buying her first home and becoming a mom. She wanted to make the space her own but didn’t feel like she had the time.
Flourish & Flounce was born after Candice realized there is one aspect of a home that makes all the difference: Tablescapes. Tablescapes are curated items that are used to decorate someone’s dining room table for events, or just for some extra polish in the home.
Candice’s business is a subscription-based, ecommerce services where event hosts and home decor enthusiasts can purchase pre-crafted tablescapes delivered right to their door. Flourish & Flounce boxes include everything customers need to create a beautiful table setting, including table runners, placemats, centerpieces, candles, cloth napkins, napkin rings, and more.
In case a customer feels like there’s still something missing, Flourish & Flounce offers add-ons. Candice has even partnered with a florist who will provide flower arrangements to coordinate with the customer’s box decor.
The boxes will be curate seasonally, and customers will have the option of purchase one box at a time or subscribing for a full year. Each season, Flourish & Flounce will design three options for customers that will fit a variety of personalities and decor styles.
With her grant from the Fortitude Fund, Candice hopes to purchase more high-quality decor items, invest in professional photography for her staged creations, and explore eco-friendly packaging for her boxes.
Flourish & Flounce will officially launch on October 1, 2019. Visit their website to be the first to snatch up a beautifully crafted tablescape, curated by Candice, from Flourish and Flounce’s winter collection.
